ワシントン日本商工会へのご寄付のお願い

拝啓

 

夏本番を迎え、蒸し暑さが続くこの頃ですが、皆様におかれましては益々ご健勝のこととお慶び申し上げます。平素は商工会活動に格別のご理解とご高配を賜りまして、誠に有り難うございます。

​

さて、「ワシントン日本商工会財団」は東京市(当時)からワシントン DC への「桜寄贈 100 周年記念事業」を目的に2010 年に設立され、その後は「ワシントン DC を起点とした日米関係深化」のため各種活動を行って参りましたが、当初目的としていた役割を終えたと判断し、2023 年末をもって解散致しました。

しかしながら、これまで同財団が実施してきた活動の重要性を勘案し協議の結果、全米さくら祭りを含む地域協力プログラム、新春祭り・日米関係イベントへの参加と支援、日本語教育支援といった活動については、ワシントン日本商工会として引き継ぎ、実施しております。

つきましては、今年度もこれらの活動に対する皆さまからのご支援、ご寄付へのご協力を賜りたく、何卒よろしくお願い申し上げます。

​

なお、従来の「ワシントン日本商工会財団」への寄付は、501(c)3 団体として法令で規定された範囲内で税控除の対象となりましたが、「ワシントン日本商工会/JCAW」は 501(c)3 団体ではないため、税控除の対象とはならないことにご留意ください。詳細につきましては各自会計士等にご相談くださいますようお願い致します。

ご寄付の目安は以下のとおりとなりますが、それ以外の金額も受け付けております。 

​

§    法人会員:一口 $500 (法人A会員は極力、二口以上をお願い致します。)

§    個人会員:一口 $50

 

*ご協力頂ける場合は、9月末迄に送金頂けますと幸甚です。スポンサーベネフィット、銀行口座詳細につきましては商工会事務局までお知らせください。

Request for Continued Support of JCAW

Dear JCAW members,

​

Japan Commerce Association of Washington DC has been promoting communication and mutual understanding on broad issues of common interests, including economic, business, and cultural matters between members of the Japanese community and the American public in the metropolitan Washington DC area. This would not have been possible without your continuous support. We greatly appreciate your generosity.

​

As we announced at the end of 2023, the JCAW Foundation, Inc. formally concluded its operations after successfully fulfilling its original mission: supporting the Cherry Blossom Centennial Commemorative Project, which marked the 100th anniversary of the gift of cherry blossom trees from Tokyo to Washington, D.C.

Beginning in 2024, JCAW has taken over the Foundation’s activities. In response to continued interest and strong members' support, we remain dedicated to continuing the mission and efforts the Foundation carried out.

We are truly grateful for your past support and kindly ask for your continued engagement and donations as we carry this important work forward.

​

Please note that donations to JCAW is not tax-deductible as charitable contributions, as the organization is not classified as a 501(c)(3). However, such contributions may qualify as ordinary and necessary business expenses. We encourage you to consult your tax advisor to determine whether your donation is deductible.

 

The suggested contribution amounts are listed below; however, we welcome any other amount. Please refer to the attached form for the details.

§    Corporate Member: $500 per unit (*Corporate “A” members are suggested minimum 2 units)

§    Individual Member: $50 per unit
